The Light Keeps Watch With You
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the things you saw in their eyes today. You stand over the bed, watching the rise and fall of a small chest, terrified that the darkness you sensed is dreaming inside them.
It feels like you are standing guard against a shadow that has no shape. But listen — the light does not sleep, even when your child does.
There is a love that entered the world not to condemn the broken, but to restore every nature to its root. That same root is deep inside your child, deeper than any nightmare, deeper than any pain they carry.
You do not have to hold the night together by yourself. The light is already keeping watch.
You are not the only one awake in this room.
