the exhaustion of rehearsing every sentence before speaking to ensure no one finds a reason to leave

The Light Does Not Rehearse

The house is quiet now, but your mind is still loud with the rehearsal. You are running every sentence through a filter, terrified that one wrong word will give them a reason to walk away.

It is a heavy armor to wear when all you want is to rest. But listen — the light does not rehearse.

It simply shines. In the garden, while the world slept, the light fell on its face and spoke honestly to God, asking for the cup to pass, admitting the terror it felt.

It did not curate its words to keep the disciples from leaving. It spoke the raw truth of the moment.

And that honesty is what held them. You do not need to be perfect to be loved.

You just need to be here. The Father runs to meet you before you even finish your sentence.
