the crushing weight of realizing you have burdened someone else with your brokenness

The Light Was Made to Carry You

The house is quiet now, but your heart is loud with the memory of what you said. You watched their face change when you handed them the weight.

You saw the flinch. The realization hits like a cold draft: you have made them carry what was never theirs to hold.

You have turned your wound into their burden. And now you lie here, terrified that your brokenness is too heavy for anyone to love.

But listen. There was a man who carried a paralyzed friend to the light.

He didn't ask if the friend was too heavy. He didn't worry if he was burdening the crowd.

He just brought him. And the light didn't scold them for the weight.

It didn't turn them away for being difficult. It saw the faith in the carrying and said: your sins are forgiven.

Go home. The light does not break under the weight of your honesty.

It was made to carry it. You did not ruin them by asking for help.

You gave them a chance to see the light do what it does best. Put down the guilt.

The carrying is already done.
