No Need to Lie in the Silence
The house is quiet now, but you are still bracing for the question you know is coming tomorrow. 'How are you?' And you already feel the weight of the lie rising in your throat because the truth is too heavy to carry into a casual conversation.
You do not have the energy to explain the dark, so you prepare the mask. But the light sees you right now, in this silence, without the performance.
It knows the exhaustion behind your eyes before you even speak. You do not need to justify your weariness or package your pain into something digestible for others.
There is a place where you can simply be tired and still be held. The truth does not require an audience to be valid.
It only requires you to stop hiding it from yourself. You are known entirely, and you are loved anyway.
