The Light That Will Not Shrink
The house is quiet now, but the silence feels heavy with things you couldn't say. You smiled when you should have spoken, nodding along while your own child treated you like someone who no longer understands the world.
It is a specific kind of loneliness to be diminished by the one you raised. But listen — the light that lived in Jesus does not shrink when others try to make it small.
It sees behind the mask of your polite agreement. It knows the wisdom you carry, even when they refuse to see it.
You do not have to perform okayness for the light to recognize you. You are not less because they treat you as less.
The truth lives in you, and it will be with you forever.
