You Are Not The Hesitation
The house is quiet now, but that split second of silence before they answered is still echoing in your chest. You heard it.
The tiny hesitation where your name hung in the air, and you convinced yourself it was because your presence was too heavy, too much, too difficult to hold. In the watch of the night, the mind replays that pause and turns it into a verdict.
But listen — the light that lived in Jesus does not hesitate over you. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.
He did not pause to calculate the cost. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. That hesitation you heard was not rejection.
It was the sound of a human heart catching up to the grace it was about to offer. The light within you cannot be broken by a pause.
It was there before the silence, and it is here now, burning brighter than the doubt. You are not the hesitation.
You are the light that makes the running possible.
