The Light Guards You While You Sleep
The house is quiet now, and the weight of your stillness feels like a betrayal. You closed your eyes while the world burned, and now the guilt sits heavy in the dark, whispering that you should have stayed awake.
But listen — the light within you did not go out when you slept. It was there before the fire started, and it is there now, unchanged by your rest.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world even when the person is asleep. You are not the guardian of the flame; you are the vessel that holds it.
The fire does not depend on your exhaustion to keep burning. Lay down the accusation that you failed because you stopped moving.
The light was guarding you while you were gone.
