He Ran Before You Spoke
The house is quiet now, and the weight of your own brokenness feels heaviest when there is nothing else to distract you. You tell yourself you must be fixed before you can be held, that you need to clean up the mess before the light can enter.
But listen — the Father saw the son while he was still covered in filth, still rehearsing his apology, still a long way off. He did not wait for the speech.
He ran. The light does not require your perfection; it requires your presence.
It has never left you, not even in the deepest shame. You are not too broken to be loved; you are loved so that you can begin to heal.
