The Light Stays When Everyone Else Leaves
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels like a spotlight on the hollow places you've been hiding. You keep moving because you're certain that if you stop, the people who love you will finally see the emptiness and walk away.
But listen — the light does not run from what it finds. There was a woman caught in the act, dragged into the center, exposed and trembling, waiting for the stones to fly.
The accusers left, one by one, until only the light remained with her. He looked up and asked where they were.
'No one, sir,' she said. And he answered, 'Then neither do I condemn you.' He did not leave when he saw the truth.
He stayed. The light sees the hollow places and does not turn away — it fills them.
You are not loved for your performance, but for your presence. The mask can come down; the one who knows you best is still here.
