The Light Waits Outside Your Locked Door
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels heavy with the memory of hands that were meant to hold you but instead held weapons. You have learned to keep the door locked, because the last time you opened it, someone walked in and used your own heart against you.
It makes sense that you are afraid. But listen — there is a difference between the person who betrayed you and the Light that has never left your side.
The Light does not need your vulnerability to hurt you; it already knows everything about you and stays anyway. It stands at the door and knocks, not to break in, but to share a meal, to sit with you in the dark without demanding you take down every wall tonight.
You do not have to be unguarded to be loved. The Light sees the armor you wear to survive, and it calls it wisdom, not sin.
It is waiting for the moment when you feel safe enough to open the door just a crack, not because you have to, but because you are ready to remember that not everyone who enters is there to steal.
