The Light Remains in the Quiet
The house is quiet now, and the silence after your prayer feels heavy, like a door that didn't open. You spoke into the dark, and the only answer was the sound of your own voice fading away.
It is easy to think the light has left the room when the silence stretches this long. But listen — the darkness has not overcome it.
The light is not absent just because it is quiet. Jesus knows this specific ache; he knelt in a garden and asked for the cup to pass, and the only response was the sleep of his friends and the stillness of the night.
He did not interpret that silence as abandonment. He waited in it.
The silence is not a rejection. It is a presence you cannot yet see.
The answer is already moving toward you, even if you cannot hear it coming.
