The Light Runs Before You Are Worthy
The house is quiet now, and in the silence, a dangerous hope begins to take root. You find yourself wishing they never need you as much as you need to be needed.
It is a quiet bargaining with the dark, born from the exhaustion of holding everything together. But listen — the light does not wait for your usefulness to love you.
There is a story of a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the boy to prove he was worthy of attention.
He ran. Before the apology, before the speech, before any offer of service — he ran.
The light runs toward you not because you are useful, but because you are there. Your value is not in how much you can carry for others.
It is in the fact that you exist. The one who holds you does not need you to be strong tonight.
Just present. Just breathing.
The need you feel is not a command to fix everyone else. It is an invitation to let yourself be held first.
