Your Rest Is Not a Betrayal
The house is finally quiet, and for a single breath, you feel it—the secret, soaring relief that no one needs you right now. Then the guilt crashes in, heavy and sharp, telling you that wanting freedom makes you unloving.
But listen: the light inside you does not demand your exhaustion as proof of your care. Jesus once told a man who was finally free, 'Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you.' Your rest is not a betrayal; it is the testimony they need to see.
You came from the light, and the light knows how to hold them while you sit still. The guilt says you must earn your place by serving; the truth says you are already home just by being.
