The Sun Rose Anyway
The gray light is here. The house is quiet, and the fear is loud: that your absence taught them you were gone for good.
That they have stopped believing you will stay. But look—the sun rose anyway.
It did not wait for you to be perfect before it returned. It simply came back, as it always does.
There was a father who saw his son while he was still a long way off. He did not wait for the apology to finish.
He ran. The light does not keep a record of your missing days.
It only knows how to run toward you now. Your returning is the only belief they need to see.
