You Don't Have to Fix Yourself First
The engine stops. The vibration dies.
And suddenly the silence is so loud it hurts your ears. You sit there with your hands on the wheel, knowing you have to wipe your face, fix your hair, and walk inside as if you are whole.
As if you didn't just break apart in the driver's seat. But the light does not need you to compose yourself before you enter.
It is already in the hallway. It is already in the kitchen.
It waited for you in the car while you cried. You do not have to perform okayness for the light to welcome you home.
The mask is heavy, and you are allowed to let it drop the moment you cross the threshold. The silence in the car is not a place of abandonment; it is the quiet space where the truth finally gets to breathe.
You are not failing your family by being tired; you are human, and that is exactly who the light came to meet.
