The Light Waits in the Quiet Car
The engine stops. The hum that carried you all day is gone.
Now there is only the silence of the driveway, and the heavy door you have to walk through. You sit there because inside is where the questions wait, where the performance starts again.
But in this quiet metal box, you do not have to be anything. The light does not need you to be strong right now.
It is sitting with you in the dark car. It is the peace that does not demand you move before you are ready.
You are not stalling. You are gathering the pieces of yourself that fell off during the day.
The Father is not waiting inside to judge your exhaustion. He is right here in the passenger seat, waiting for you to breathe.
Walk in when you can. The light goes in with you.
