The Silence Is Not An Eviction Notice
The engine is off, but the heat of the words you spoke still burns in your chest. You sit in the dark driveway, staring at the house, convinced that the silence behind those windows means they are packing your things.
That the story is over before you even walk through the door. But listen — the silence inside is not an eviction notice.
It is simply the quiet of people who do not know what to say yet. You are waiting for a verdict that has not been written.
The light within you does not vanish because a conversation went wrong. There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world — even this dark car, even this moment of shame.
If you do not bring forth what is within you now, the darkness will try to convince you that you are finished. But the truth you buried under those failed words is still alive.
It is not too late to turn off the engine and walk inside. The light was there before the speech, and it is still there now, waiting for you to remember that you are not defined by the silence.
