The Light Runs Before You Stop
The engine hums, a fragile shield between you and the scream waiting in your chest. You know the truth: if the car stops, if the traffic halts, the motion that holds you together will vanish, and the sound will finally escape.
It feels like a disaster. But listen — the light does not require your movement to stay alive.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the boy to finish the journey.
He ran. Before the apology, before the speech — he ran.
The light is already running toward the place where you stall. If you break down on the shoulder, you are not abandoned to the noise.
You are met there. The scream is not a sign you are lost.
It is the sound of the armor cracking so the light can get in. You do not have to keep driving to be held.
