The Light Does Not Need Your Performance
The door is closed, and you are practicing a sound that does not belong to you. You tilt your head, adjust the angle of your mouth, and try on a laugh that feels like a costume stitched from other people's expectations.
It is exhausting to be someone you are not, even for an hour. Even for a night.
But there is a place inside you that has never learned to pretend. A place that came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord.
That part of you does not need to rehearse. It simply is.
You do not have to carry the mask back into the room. The light is not waiting for your performance; it is waiting for your return.
You came from the truth, and the truth does not need a mirror to know it is real.
