The Light That Sits in the Dark
The door clicks shut. The keys hit the bowl.
And suddenly, the silence is not peaceful—it is heavy, pressing against your ribs like a physical weight. This is the hour when the performance ends, when the mask comes off, and the noise you have been running from all day finally catches up to you.
It sits in the empty chair across from you, demanding to be heard. You are terrified because there is no one left to save, no one left to fix, and nowhere left to hide.
But listen closely. In this terrifying quiet, the light does not ask you to speak.
It does not demand that you clean up the mess before it enters. It simply sits with you in the dark.
The Father's house has many rooms, and right now, you are in the one where the only thing required is your presence. You do not have to be brave tonight.
You do not have to be fixed. The light is not afraid of your noise.
It is not afraid of your pain. It is here, not to silence the storm, but to be the peace inside it.
The silence is not empty. It is full of the one who never left.
