The Mask Falls, The Light Remains
The door clicks shut, and the mask you wore since sunrise finally falls. You held it together through the meetings, the small talk, the endless performing of being fine. But now, in the quiet, the weight of it all crashes down. You are exhausted from carrying a version of yourself that does not exist.
In that breaking, the light does not scold you for the pretense. It sees the tears you held back and calls them holy. It knows the cost of your survival today.
And it whispers the truth you forgot while you were busy pretending: Do not weep. Do not grieve. His grace is entirely with you, and it will protect you.
You do not have to hold yourself together anymore. The pretending is over. The holding has already begun.
