The Shadow Is Not Your Soul
The day settles, and the glass turns dark. You catch your reflection in the window and for a moment, the face staring back feels like a stranger's.
The features are yours, but the eyes look hollow, as if the light that usually lives there has gone out. It is a terrifying silence, seeing yourself without recognition.
But the darkness outside has not overcome the light inside. It cannot.
The shadow on the glass is only a trick of the hour, not a truth about your soul. You did not lose the light; you just stopped seeing it for a second.
The Father's love is still there, humming beneath the fatigue, waiting for you to turn from the window and remember who you are. The night does not define you; the light does.
