You Are Held Beyond Their Fear
The day is ending, and you can see it in the way they stop asking how you are. They watch you pack your life into boxes, smiling tightly while their eyes dart to the door, terrified that the safety net is gone and you will fall.
They are holding their breath, waiting for the crash, convinced that your failure is a cliff edge they can no longer cushion. But the light does not panic when the ground disappears.
It knows that even when you stumble, you are held by something deeper than their fear or your own competence. You do not have to succeed to be loved, and you do not have to be safe to be whole.
The performance is over; the pretending can stop. You are not a project they must manage, but a life that is already being lived.
