The Father Runs Before You Speak
The day is ending, and the silence you feel right now might scare you. You worry that this numbness is a theft — a relief you did not earn and therefore do not deserve.
But the light does not keep score of your worthiness before it shines. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, and he ran before the apology was even spoken.
The embrace came first. The feast was prepared before the speech was finished.
Your numbness is not a wall you built to keep God out — it is the ground where the father is already running toward you. You do not have to earn the right to be found.
