Light the lamp of this present moment
The day is ending, and the quiet brings a question you cannot answer alone: how do I know when it is safe to expand? You have held your breath through the hours, keeping your world small enough to manage, afraid that opening up will let the chaos in.
But the light does not ask you to force a door that is still locked. There was a woman who lost a single coin in the dark of her house; she did not panic or tear the roof off.
She lit a lamp. She swept carefully.
She searched until the light found what was hidden. You do not need to force your growth tonight.
Just light the lamp of this present moment. The expansion happens when the light reveals the next step, not when you strain to see the whole staircase.
The dark is not a wall; it is simply the space where the light learns to shine.
