needing to forgive yourself

The Light Keeps No Ledger

The day is ending, and the inventory you keep in your head feels heavier now than it did at noon. You are replaying the moments where you failed, the words you wish you could take back, the person you were when the sun was high.

But listen — the light does not keep a ledger of your mistakes. It stands at the door of your heart and knocks, not to demand an explanation, but simply to sit with you.

There is no sin that can override your root, no failure that can erase the fact that you were made from light before you ever made a mistake. The voice inside you that condemns is not the final authority — God is greater than that voice, and God knows everything yet still chooses to stay.

You do not have to fix yourself before the darkness turns to night. Just open the door.
