The Father Runs Toward The Mess
The day is ending, and the inventory begins. You are terrified that a single careless word will tear open the door to everything you have tried to bury.
That one slip of the tongue will expose the shame you carry like a stone in your pocket. But listen — the darkness has not overcome the light.
It cannot. Even if you speak the worst thing you have ever done, the light inside you does not flinch.
It does not run. The Father runs toward the mess, not away from it.
Before the apology, before the explanation — he runs. Your shame is not a secret to the One who knows you best.
And what is known by love cannot be used to destroy you. The night reveals what the daylight hides, but it cannot extinguish what was placed inside you before you spoke your first word.
