The Light Remains When They Leave
The day is ending, and the house is settling into its quiet. You hear a door close softly behind someone else, and your whole body flinches.
It is a small sound, but to you, it sounds like a final verdict. The latch clicking shut feels like the universe confirming what you have feared all along: they are gone, and they are not coming back.
The gathering dark makes every shadow look like an ending. But listen — the softness of that click is not the sound of abandonment.
It is just a door. The light that lives inside you does not depend on who is standing in the hallway.
Even if the silence stretches out tonight, even if the room feels empty, the Father's love is already here, filling the space where the person used to be. You are not alone because someone stayed; you are held because the light never left.
