Your Laugh Is Not A Betrayal
The day is ending, and the armor you wore since morning finally hits the floor. In that quiet, you laughed today—really laughed—and for one second, the grief vanished.
Then the guilt rushed in to fill the space. You feel like a traitor to the memory of the one who is gone.
But listen. The light does not demand that you carry the weight of absence every second to prove you loved them.
Jesus saw people rejoice and did not scold them for forgetting their pain, even for a moment. He knew that joy is not a betrayal.
It is a sign that the life they gave you is still working inside you. The laugh was not a forgetting.
It was a remembering of what they left behind. You are allowed to exhale.
