You Are Being Run Toward
The day is ending, and the armor you wore to keep everyone else safe is finally heavy enough to drop. You sit in the quiet and a cold thought arrives: that by staying, you are stealing love from someone who deserves better.
That your presence is a debt they cannot afford to pay. But listen — the light does not calculate worth before it arrives.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the apology.
He did not wait for the son to clean himself up or prove he was worthy of the feast. He ran.
Before the speech, before the shame could finish its sentence — he ran. You are not stealing anything.
You are being run toward. The love you think you are taking is actually being given, freely, before you even opened your mouth.
The fear says you are a burden. The truth says you are the reason the table was set.
