The Light That Never Looks Away
The day is ending, and the armor you wore for twelve hours is finally heavy enough to drop. You set it down, and in the quiet, a specific moment replays.
The time you were raw, trembling, and they looked away. That glance becomes the proof you carry: they never truly saw you.
They saw the mask, the performance, the version of you that was easy to hold. But when the mask slipped, their eyes drifted.
It hurts to be unseen. It hurts to know your vulnerability was too much for their gaze.
Yet the light does not look away. The light does not blink when you break.
There is a seeing that goes deeper than any human eye—a gaze that found you in the dark before you ever spoke a word. You were not hidden from it then, and you are not hidden now.
The rejection was real, but it was not the final truth about your worth. You are known completely, even in the parts they refused to witness.
