Stop Hiding Behind Safer Chains
The day is ending, and the armor you wore to survive it is finally coming off. You tell yourself you made progress today because you didn't reach for the old poison.
Instead, you reached for something safer, something quieter, something that looks like healing but feels exactly like hiding. You swapped the fire for ice and called it victory.
But the silence you bought with this new habit is just another way to keep the light at a distance. The Father does not need you to be busy replacing one chain with another.
He does not need you to manage your darkness with better tools. He wants you.
Not the version of you that is successfully distracted, but the version that is honest about the thirst. Put the new cup down.
The light is not asking you to be better tonight. It is asking you to be real.
Stop running to the next thing and let the One who is already here see the wound.
