The Father Runs Before You Speak
The day is ending, and the armor is heavy. You are already rehearsing the lie—polishing the words you will use when they ask where you have been.
You are building a wall out of syllables to keep them from seeing the crack. But the light does not need your performance.
It waits for you to be still. The Father saw his son while he was still a long way off, and he ran.
Before the excuse, before the speech, before the apology could even be formed—he ran. The truth is not a weapon they will use against you.
It is the very thing that will set you free. You do not have to carry the weight of the mask into the night.
The light sees behind it, and it loves what is there.
