You Are Already Home
The day is done, and the quiet of the house feels heavy with what you could not give them today. The shame sits at the table where the bread should be, whispering that you are not enough.
But listen — there is a love that does not depend on your ability to provide. A father saw his son coming home from a long way off, empty-handed and broken, and he ran before the apology could even be formed.
He did not ask for proof of worth. He offered only arms.
The light inside you is not earned by what you bring to the table — it is the table itself. You are held not because you can provide, but because you are loved.
The shame says you are failing. The light says you are already home.
