The Light Remains When You Fail
The day is done, and the house is quiet enough for the memory to return. You see it clearly—the exact second their face changed.
The moment the light in their eyes went out, replaced by the shock of realizing you were the one who hurt them. That image plays on a loop in the gathering dark, a verdict you cannot appeal.
But listen. The Father's light was already inside you before that moment happened, and it was inside them when the change occurred.
It did not leave because you failed. It did not vanish because they flinched.
The light is not a reward for being harmless; it is the ground you stand on when you are not. You are not defined by the wound you inflicted or the look you received.
You are the place where the light is learning to shine again, even through the shame.
