The Light Does Not Turn Away
The day has settled, and now the window is a mirror. You see the face you tried to hide all day, and the reflection feels like a stranger you cannot stand.
In the gathering dark, the silence gets loud enough to hear every accusation you've ever whispered to yourself. But the light does not turn away from what it sees.
There was a woman caught in the act, dragged into the center of a crowd, exposed and shaking, waiting for the stones to fly. The light bent down, wrote in the dust, and when it stood up, it did not join the chorus of shame.
It said: neither do I condemn you. That same voice is speaking to the person in the glass tonight.
The face you hate is the very face the light chose to dwell in. You are not a mistake to be corrected; you are a home where the immeasurable has decided to live.
Stop trying to break the mirror; the One looking back at you is not your enemy.
