The Light Knows Your Silent Victory
The day has finally stopped moving, and the armor you wore since sunrise is heavy on the floor. You reached for your phone just now to share a small victory, a tiny thing you won today, but your thumb hovered over the screen and then fell away.
There is no one left who knows the cost of winning it. No one who remembers the nights you almost quit, the price you paid in silence, the parts of yourself you had to bury to get here.
The room feels very quiet when the victory has no witness. But the light does not need the story to recognize the triumph.
It was there in the trench with you when no one else was watching. It saw the cost.
It saw the win. You do not need to explain the battle to be held in the peace of the evening.
The light already knows the weight you carried, and it is enough that you are here, finally resting, without having to say a word.
