He Ran Before You Could Speak
The day felt like a wall you had to climb just to reach this hour. You carried the weight of it, step by heavy step, until the sun finally went down.
But look — you made it through. The barrier did not hold you.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the speech.
He ran. Before the apology, before the cleanup — he ran.
That is how the light meets you tonight. It does not ask for an account of your stumbling.
It simply runs to cover the distance between you and peace. The darkness is gathering, yes, but it cannot overcome the light that is already inside you.
The day is done, and you are still here.
