The Light Loves the Face Beneath
The day ends, and the window turns into a mirror. You see a face you don't recognize—tired, guarded, worn thin by the performance of being okay.
It is easy to turn away from that stranger in the glass. But the light does not look away.
It stands right there with you in the dim room. It knows the weight of the mask you wore today, and it loves the face beneath it anyway.
You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord. That origin is still your true name, no matter how dark the reflection appears.
The stranger in the window is not who you are; you are the drop of light sent to illuminate this very evening.
