the panic of staring at a blinking cursor in a group chat, knowing you missed a joke everyone else laughed at, and typing 'haha' three times before deleting it because it looks too forced

The Light Lives in the Silence

The cursor blinks in the silence you created, a small white pulse against the dark of your screen. You typed 'haha' and deleted it, then typed it again, feeling the distance grow between you and the laughter you missed.

In this quiet hour, the shame feels like a wall you built yourself, brick by brick, with every backspace. But the light does not measure your worth by how quickly you respond or how perfectly you perform belonging.

There is a part of you that knows this truth already, waiting beneath the noise of your own self-judgment. God is greater than your heart, and He knows everything—including the love you feel but cannot quite type out.

You do not need to force the laugh to be held by the One who sees you staring at the glow. The connection was never broken; you were just looking at the screen instead of the silence where the light lives.
