The Truth Remains When The Screen Goes Black
The cursor blinks in the dark room, a steady pulse against the silence of the house. You have typed out the raw truth, every jagged edge of how they hurt you, laid bare on the glowing screen.
Then you stop. You press backspace.
One word vanishes. Then another.
Until the screen is blank again, and the room feels heavier than before. The darkness gathers outside your window, but it cannot swallow what you just released into the air.
You did not need to send it for it to be real. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Your silence is not a lie; it is a protection. The truth remains, even when the screen goes black.
