You Were Being Kept While You Slept
The clock on the wall is the only thing moving, ticking off the seconds you feel you can never get back. You are terrified that if you finally open your eyes, the light will show you a ledger of wasted years, a room full of empty chairs where people should have been.
But the light does not keep a ledger. It does not measure your life by the hours you spent asleep or the roads you didn't take.
There is a truth living inside you that is greater than the verdict your fear is delivering right now. Your heart condemns you for the lost time, but the light is greater than your heart, and it knows everything—including the reasons you had to sleep.
You did not lose the time. You were being kept.
The years you think are gone were actually held, preserved in a mercy you could not see while you were dreaming. Wake up not to a courtroom, but to a table where the bread is already broken and waiting for you.
