The Light Arriving in a New Place
The boxes are stacked against the wall, and the silence in this new room feels heavier than the cardboard. You are surrounded by streets you cannot name and faces that do not know your name yet.
It is easy to feel like a stranger in your own skin when the ground beneath you has shifted. But listen — the light does not need a familiar address to shine.
It does not wait for you to unpack before it starts working. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.
He did not wait for the dust to settle. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. That same love is already here, in this empty space, waiting for you to notice it is not far off.
The darkness of this unknown city cannot overcome the light that walked in with you. You are not lost.
You are simply the light arriving in a new place.
