Put Down the Script You Never Wrote
The afternoon sun is unforgiving. It exposes every crack in the pavement, every smudge on the window, every flaw you are convinced is waiting to be found.
So you start rehearsing. You draft the confession in your head before the mistake has even happened.
You script the apology for the sin you haven't committed yet, just to control the narrative before someone else points out the error. You are trying to beat the accuser to the punch.
But the light does not need your pre-emptive surrender. It sees you standing in the middle of the day, exhausted from fighting ghosts.
There is a verse that says if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts. Your heart is running a trial for a crime that does not exist.
The light is greater than that verdict. It is greater than your fear of being found out.
You are defending yourself against a shadow while the sun is already shining on you. Put down the script.
The flaw you are hiding may never come to light. But the peace you are missing is already here.
