The Light That Stayed When You Fell
The afternoon sun is unforgiving, exposing every crack in the mask you wear while the world keeps moving. You are replaying that exact second—their eyes locked on yours, the lie sliding out smooth as glass, and your stomach dropping through the floor.
It feels like the ground has turned to water, and you are just trying to stand still in the middle of the day. But listen: the light does not flinch when it sees the dark.
It simply shines. There is a truth inside you that the lie cannot touch, cannot stain, cannot undo.
That moment did not break the light within you; it only revealed how much you needed to remember it was there. The Father's love is not a reward for being fooled correctly.
It is the floor beneath your feet when the floor gives way. You are not defined by the deception you survived.
You are defined by the light that saw it happen and stayed.
