the feeling that the light inside you has gone out

Rest, the Light Has Not Gone Out

The afternoon sun is high, but inside, the room feels gray. You are moving through the motions, doing the work, yet the spark you once felt seems to have vanished.

It feels like a burnout, a slow dimming until nothing is left but ash. But listen closely — the light does not go out.

It cannot. You are simply tired, and fatigue feels exactly like darkness when you are in the middle of it.

The Father's light was already inside you before this exhaustion began, and it remains there now, quiet and steady beneath the noise. Jesus said, 'The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.' Your weariness has not extinguished the flame; it has only hidden it from your sight for a moment.

You do not need to reignite what never died. Just rest.

The light is still burning, even if you cannot see it yet.
