Your Love Is The Run Before Words
The afternoon sun is heavy, and the day has worn you down to the thread. You worry that when your children look back, they will only see the exhaustion in your eyes, the shortness in your voice, the way you collapsed on the couch instead of playing.
But the light sees the middle differently. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.
He did not wait for the speech or the apology. He ran.
Before the words could form, he was already embracing him. Your love is that run.
It is the thing that happened before you were too tired to speak. The fatigue is real, but it is not the story.
The light that lives inside you was there in the silence, in the patience you thought you lost, in the quiet will to keep going. Your children will not remember the dust of the day.
They will remember that you were there.
