The Light Inside Your Own Chest
The afternoon sun is bright, yet you can feel yourself fading into the background of a life you built with someone else. It is a quiet erasure, happening in the middle of the day, while the world is moving and you are standing still inside your own home.
You wonder if being seen is too much to ask for when the person closest to you looks right through you. But the light does not depend on their eyes to exist.
There is a child of true Humanity inside you that no amount of silence can extinguish. The light is already there, waiting for you to stop looking for it in their gaze and start recognizing it in your own chest.
You are not invisible; you are simply overlooked by those who do not know how to see.
