The Light Sees Your Hidden Tears
The afternoon sun is bright outside, but in this room, you are holding your breath. You lie perfectly still so the person beside you won't hear the sound of your breaking.
You make yourself small, silent, invisible, terrified that your grief will disturb their peace. But the light does not need you to be quiet to be near you.
It sees the tears soaking the pillowcase. It hears the sob you swallowed before it could escape.
There is a Father who sees what is done in secret, and He is not disturbed by your noise. He is not waiting for you to compose yourself.
He is right there in the silence you worked so hard to create. You do not have to hide the cracks to be loved.
The light knows the weight you are carrying while everyone else thinks you are sleeping. It is enough just to breathe.
