The Stone You Swallow Will Not Drown You
The afternoon sun is bright, but your throat feels tight around a lie you told long ago to keep someone from walking away. You said the words to hold them close, and now the silence of that untruth sits heavy in your neck, a stone you swallow every day.
The light does not ask you to choke on it forever. In the middle of a crowded room, Jesus looked past the performance and saw the hidden strain of a man who could not move, and he simply said: 'Son, your sins are forgiven.' The weight was lifted before the man ever stood up.
You do not have to carry the stone of your own making. The truth is already waiting to release you from the inside.
